What we do

PROCUREMENT PLANNING & COORDINATION

The National Defence Procurement Authority (NDPA) is responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement planning frameworks that align with national defence priorities, operational requirements, and long-term capability development objectives.

Through a structured and forward-looking approach, the Authority ensures that procurement activities are well-coordinated, timely, and responsive to the evolving needs of the defence sector. NDPA integrates planning processes across multiple stakeholders to ensure coherence, efficiency, and alignment with national security strategies.

By strengthening planning and coordination mechanisms, the Authority minimizes risks, reduces inefficiencies, and ensures that defence resources are allocated in a manner that supports sustainable and effective defence operations.

Key Services

1. Annual and Multi-Year Procurement Planning

NDPA develops comprehensive procurement plans that cover both short-term and long-term defence needs. These plans are aligned with national defence strategies and provide a structured roadmap for the acquisition of goods, works, and services.

2. Demand Forecasting and Resource Allocation

The Authority conducts detailed demand assessments and forecasting to identify current and future procurement requirements. This ensures that resources are allocated efficiently and that procurement activities are aligned with operational priorities and budgetary provisions.

3. Coordination Across Defence Institutions

NDPA facilitates coordination among various defence and government institutions to ensure a unified and integrated approach to procurement. This minimizes duplication, enhances collaboration, and ensures consistency in procurement practices.

4. Budget Alignment and Prioritization

The Authority ensures that procurement plans are aligned with available budgets and national priorities. NDPA supports prioritization of critical procurement needs, ensuring that limited resources are directed towards high-impact defence capabilities.
