The National Defence Procurement Authority
The National Defence Procurement Authority (NDPA) is a specialized government agency established under Executive Order No. 2 of 2023. The Authority is mandated to facilitate, coordinate, and oversee defence procurement processes to ensure efficiency, transparency, accountability, and value for money.
Operating within the framework of the Constitution of Kenya and national security policies, NDPA plays a critical role in strengthening the defence sector by ensuring timely acquisition of essential capabilities required to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kenya.

NDPA is mandated to coordinate and oversee the procurement of defence goods, works, and services while ensuring compliance with national procurement laws and safeguarding national security interests.
The Authority ensures that all procurement processes are conducted efficiently, transparently, and in alignment with Kenya’s defence and security priorities.
